FARGO,N.D. (KFGO) – More than 800 volunteers turned out Wednesday Fargo’s Sandbag Central for Day Two of operations and filled 105-thousand sandbags. That’s more than 200,000 sandbags filled since Monday.
Volunteers included students from Fargo public schools, NDSU, Concordia College, and many businesses who have allowed employees time off to help the cause.
Fargo has set a goal to have a million sandbags by the end of next week. Volunteers are still needed. You can sign up at FargoND.gov/FloodVolunteers or call the Sandbag Central Hotline at 701-476-4000.
