Vermont to Consider Allowing Emojis on License Plates

A Vermont bill, if approved, would make the state the first in the country to feature emojis on license plates.

A bill recently introduced by Democrat Rebecca White in the state's House of Representatives would allow drivers to choose from six pre-approved emojis to appear on their cars.

Though there are no details on which emojis will be among the six chosen, there are a few rules in place.

According to the proposal drivers can't go full on emoji only and it must be placed in addition to what the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles has assigned or what drivers picked for their vanity plates.
