A 33-year-old woman is in custody after reportedly leading authorities on a chase in a stolen Cadillac.

Cheyenne police spokesman Officer Kevin Malatesta says it started just before noon Monday when officers were called to a report of a stolen vehicle in the 700 block of Oak Valley Lane.

"(They) were getting information on the vehicle, which they relayed to other officers, and a Laramie County Sheriff's deputy observed the vehicle in the area of Campstool and N. College Drive," said Malatesta.

When the deputy tried to stop the vehicle, Malatesta says the woman fled.

"The pursuit went south on College and then must have turned on Fox Farm and then north on S. Greeley Highway," he said.  "As (she) was coming over the Warren viaduct northbound towards Lincolnway (she) ended up hitting two large trucks and came to a stop."

Malatesta says the woman, whose identity hasn't been released, suffered minor injuries, but nobody else was injured.

"We're investigating the presence of drugs as a contributing factor in this crime," he said.
