Tannerite Fire forces evacuations for parts of Sublette County, Wyoming

(KUTV) — The Tannerite Fire has forced evacuations for parts of Sublette County, Wyoming.

Evacuations have been ordered for the following areas:

• Meadow Lake
• Burnt Lake
• Boulder Lake

The area under evacuation orders also includes the Boulder Lake Campground, Boulder Lake Country Estates and all associated recreational areas.

The U.S. Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management and Sublette County Unified Fire are all working initial attacks on the wildfire. High winds are spreading the flames and the fire has burned over 500 acres so far.

The American Red Cross has created a shelter in Pinedale.
