Dog found on side of the road in Ohio with nose, mouth duct-taped shut

MADISON TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WKRC) - The Butler County Sheriff's Office in Ohio is investigating after a dog was found on the side of the road with her mouth and nose duct-taped shut.

The sheriff's office said someone walking found the injured dog near on Aug. 17. Her throat had also been cut.

The dog was taken to a veterinarian and scanned for a microchip. The information on the chip came back to Heart Rescue in Cincinnati, which said it adopted the dog out in 2011. They are looking into that information.

The Butler County Sheriff's dog warden is investigating this as an animal cruelty case. They are asking for help identifying the dog and locating her owner. If you have any information, you can contact the sheriff's office at 513-785-1000.
