Jefferson City police have taken three adults and one juvenile into custody, accused of assault and property damage.

Police were called at 4:13 p.m. Monday by a Jefferson City Transit bus driver. The driver said the window on their bus was shot. No one on the bus was hurt. The bus was taken out of service.

Later, at 6:34 p.m., a juvenile at Binder Lake called 911, saying he had been shot. Emergency services found he had an injury on his arm. He was treated at the scene. The victim was able to give police a description of the vehicle.

Officers pulled over a vehicle matching that description at 9:05 p.m. While the initial traffic stop was in relation to the protests at the Capitol, police quickly connected the vehicle to the earlier incidents. They also found a pellet rifle in the vehicle.

Three adults and one juvenile were taken into custody for the incident at Binder Lake. Police found narcotics and alcohol in the vehicle.

Police say there could be more property damage connected to this investigation. Anyone with information should contact Jefferson City Police at 634-6400, or 659-TIPS.
