There's nothing more that a Mannford father and his 6-year-old son love more than manning the grill.

William and Ryker Collier have managed to turn their bonding time into some of Oklahoma's best barbecue.

William started competing in barbecue competitions when he got back from an army deployment a few years ago and now he is busy making his son, Ryker into a champion barbecuer.

Ryker kept wanting to go to cook-offs with his dad so he decided to put him to work.

As soon as Ryker was old enough his father entered him into "Kids Q" contests.

Ryker's specialty is hamburger, and more specifically meatballs.

His special touch is pouring his favorite drink, Dr. Pepper all over the meat after browning and then he puts a home made sauce on a little later.

Ryker is just out of kindergarten, but he's already raking in the barbecue trophies.

William isn't doing so bad either.

He's currently ranked third by the Oklahoma Barbecue Society.
