A Helena man was in court Monday for charges connected to two casino robberies in January.
Andrew James Blake, 31, has been charged with two felony counts of robbery and two misdemeanor counts of theft.
Court documents allege Blake used a stolen BB gun on the night of January 17 to rob Lucky Lil’s Casino and then rob the Loose Caboose Casino about 10 minutes later. He is then accused of eluding law enforcement.
Police later identified him as the robbery suspect due to matching the physical description of eyewitnesses and security footage.
Blake allegedly was also in possession of shoes that match prints left at the scene of the crimes.
Blake will enter his plea on the charges in District Court on May 29.
Judge Michael G. Swingley set bond at $50,000.
