Recent Lakers rumors are that Los Angeles is trying to get back in the Trevor Ariza trade talks after a three-team deal fell apart.

There have been plenty of Lakers rumors of late surrounding Phoenix Suns forward, Trevor Ariza. As a very good player, Ariza has piqued the interest of many teams in the NBA, including the Los Angeles Lakers.

Late on Friday night, it looked like Ariza was going to be going to the Washington Wizards in a three-team deal with the Memphis Grizzlies as the third team. The reported deal all fell apart because of a confusion of whether it was Dillon Brooks or MarShon Brooks going to the Suns.

In what was a very odd scenario, no deal was completed between the three teams, and Ariza is still a member of the Suns as of now. With the deal falling through, the Lakers are once again reportedly interested in getting Ariza. Recently, Adrian Wojnarowski talked about the Lakers once again pushing to get a deal done. Here’s what he had to say.

"Several other teams were already pushing the Suns to get back involved in a deal for Ariza, including the Lakers and Houston Rockets, league sources said."

After the strange situation regarding the failed trade, the Suns are going to be back to the drawing board with Ariza. For the Lakers, they would certainly like to get back in the Ariza talks, but there were reports that the Suns owner blocked a deal to send Ariza to Los Angeles.

Due to the success that the Lakers have had with Tyson Chandler since he left Phoenix, the Suns’ owner might not want to be helping Los Angeles anymore. However, if the Lakers are able to give the Suns the best offer, a rebuilding team like the Suns shouldn’t pass up on it.

Now that Ariza is officially allowed to be traded, it seems likely that the Suns will be moving him sooner rather than later. With a desire to rebuild and grow their young core, don’t expect to see Ariza in Phoenix for too much longer.
