Badgerow and Ronning

Justin Badgerow and Debra Ronning will perform at the Lancaster Church of the Brethren's Starlight Tea Concert Series Saturday, March 23, at 7 p.m.

Lancaster Church of the Brethren's Starlight Tea Concert Series will feature a "four hands'' performance by pianists Debra Ronning and Justin Badgerow on Saturday at 7 p.m.

Both performers are on the music faculty of Elizabethtown College, and each has appeared separately on the series previously.

The program will include Poulenc’s witty and satirical Sonata, an arrangement of Ravel’s orchestral masterpiece La Valse, a lyrical, romantic work titled Silent Woods from the cycle From the Bohemian Forest by Antonin Dvořák, and three movements of a rhythmically charged, jazz-inspired work by Nikolai Kapustin entitled Sinfonietta.

The program is free, but an offering will be collected to benefit the Dystonia Medical Research Foundation in Glen Mills, PA. Dystonia is a neurological disorder that causes excessive, involuntary muscle contractions, making it difficult for individuals to control their movements.

The church is at 1601 Sunset Ave. For more information call 717-397-4751 or visit lancob.org.
