Friday will be the last day for the Musser’s Markets location in Columbia whose owners say they will consider opening a discount grocery store at the stop.
The 44,000-square-foot store at 960 Lancaster Ave. is the smallest of the four-store grocery chain that includes stores at the Buck, in Lebanon and outside Mountville.
The roughly 45 full- or part-time employees at the store were all offered jobs at other Musser’s Markets, with most transferring to the store near Mountville, which is about two miles east along Route 462.
