Gering, Nebraska based internet provider Vistabeam is now offering new Internet packages to residents of Laramie, Wyoming.

“We are excited to bring the latest, fixed-wireless technology to the Laramie area,” Matt Larsen, CEO of Vistabeam, said in a statement. “We have always been careful not to oversell our network, which would compromise the quality of our service. Our newly expanded network has exponentially more capacity than the older network, which means we are now able to deliver Internet to more customers in the area.”

Founded in 2004, Vistabeam uses fixed wireless to deliver broadband Internet to a 40,000 square mile area of Eastern Wyoming, Western Nebraska, and Northern Colorado. The network in Laramie will be fed by a fiber connection along with 4 backup connections on microwave to other parts of Wyoming.
