£20m ex-Leeds ace keen to secure ER return, some fans react: ‘Doesn’t exactly scream ambition’

A handful of Leeds supporters have been reacting on Reddit recently to a report by Football Insider, which suggested former Whites ace Jack Harrison was keen to secure his return to Elland Road.

The 22-year-old featured in 42 of our fixtures last term while on loan, with his four goals and four assists playing a key role in our draw on the road at Millwall, narrows win over Blackburn Rovers, Swansea City and Sheffield Wednesday, before laying on the assist for our Play-Off Semi-Final First Leg win at Derby County.

It was not the most prolific involvement at the top of the pitch, with Pablo Hernandez boasting the highest goal involvement of any United player in the 2018/19 season, while Harrison also ranked 12th for minutes between key passes in the Championship.

Marcelo Bielsa, though, is keen to see the Manchester City-owned wide player return to Elland Road for another year on loan, as we would not be able to meet the Premier League winners’ potential £20million valuation.

Discussions then ensued with the Etihad Stadium outfit in early June, to which Football Insider claim we are keen to wrap up before the squad return to Thorp Arch for pre-season training.

A source close to the winger has also indicted to Football Insider that Harrison believes a second year in West Yorkshire would be the ideal place for his career development, as the boss feels the former England U21 international can be moulded into a consistent matchwinner.

When that suggestion was then shared on Reddit, this is how these Leeds supporters reacted…
