Two Trenton Men Charged In Bristol Twp. Robbery
Two Trenton men – one in custody and the other not captured yet – have been charged with a 2019 Bristol Township robbery that left a convenience store clerk injured.
On Friday, May 24, 2019, Bristol Township cops were dispatched to the 7-Eleven store in the 800 block of Veterans Highway (Route 413) around 2:50 a.m. for a robbery with injuries call. Upon arrival, officers found the clerk was hurt and said two men entered the store and assaulted and robbed the business, according to court papers. Store surveillance video showed two men entering the 7-Eleven at the same time. The footage also showed the clerk being punched in the face and further assaulted, police said.
Investigators said the suspects left the store with lottery tickets and cigarettes. One of the men had their arms full of merchandise.
The clerk was taken to the hospital for his injuries.
Officers put out information on the 7-Eleven robberies to surrounding departments and received tips that furthered their investigation, police said.
Marc Anthony Powell, 29, and Christopher D. Durant, 26, both of Trenton, were charged this year with conspiracy, robbery, aggravated assault, simple assault, theft, and related offenses. Durant was arraigned at the end of June and bail was set at 10 percent of $750,000, and Powell was not yet in custody and arraigned on the charges as of Monday.
Durant is set to be arraigned later this week on robbery charges out of Falls Township for a June incident.
Powell is also wanted by the Falls Township police department for charges including robbery, conspiracy, theft, and related offenses from a March 2019 incident in that township.
