(LEX 18) — Six people at Lake Cumberland State Park escaped major injury when a tree fell and heavily damaged the cabin in which they were staying, officials said.

In a post on its Facebook page, Kentucky State Parks said storms in the area knocked the tree down onto a cabin at Lake Cumberland State Resort Park.

“Six guests were staying in the cabin, and luckily all six made it out safely with minor injuries,” the post reads.

We’re told one person had to be airlifted to the hospital, but all involved should make full recoveries.

An official with the Storm Alert Center said the people inside the cabin escaped through a side window.
