Celebrations of the life and legacy of Rep. John Lewis continued Monday, at the Capitol steps in Harrisburg.

During the celebration of life, community leaders urged listeners to begin getting into some, "good, necessary trouble," to continue the fight for equality.

The event showcased song and poetry, and conveyed one common message: "To move head as a society, we must move together."

"We have to stand up with our brothers and sisters, no matter what color, no matter what their sexual preference, no matter what gender," Rick Bloomingdale, president of the Pennsylvania AFL-CIO, said. "We have to stand together because we need to lift everyone up; because if we don't lift everyone up, we're all going to drown."

Lewis died on July 17, at the age of 80.
