Police: Missing 5-year-old, mother possibly en route to Pennsylvania

The Port Orange Police Department in Florida is actively investigating a suspicious incident involving a missing child and her mother, who they believe could be on their way to Pennsylvania.

On October 21, 2019, a witness told police that at approximately 2:30 p.m., 5-year-old Jayliah Marilis Thompson entered a vehicle driven by her mother, Lisa Santiago, and left the area.

Police say Jayliah Thompson is currently at the center of a child custody dispute, with her father having sole custody.

Port Orange Police Department's investigation revealed that Santiago and her child may be en route to family who reside in PA.

The vehicle Santiago is driving is described as a black passenger car, possibly a Kia, with no known tag information available at this time.
