Bright teal stickers, stamped with an alt-right group name, have been popping up in public places around Harrisburg.

The stickers have residents concerned, as community members work to tear them down.

We found two "Identity Evropa" stickers along Riverfront Park, which people tried to peel off.

According to the Southern Poverty Law Center, Identity Evropa is a white nationalism organization that focuses on, "raising white racial consciousness and building community based on shared racial identity."

The group uses slogans such as, "Keep your diversity, we want identity."

Photos of the stickers have popped up in local Facebook groups. Many people are commenting on the posts, saying this isn't welcome.

Josh Burkholder was walking along the river when he saw them for the first time, Saturday.

"We don't want any symbols of hate here in Harrisburg, so tear 'em down, but don't let them eat you up," Burkholder said.

We also reached out to the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission about the stickers.

They released a statement, saying, “We are aware of both situations and several others around the Commonwealth. We are talking with our partners and planning next steps. We will continue to engage our community to combat hate where it exists."
