Four people were injured in a crash in Stoughton on Sunday afternoon, Stoughton police reported.
The 2-vehicle crash happened shortly after 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Highway 51 and Roby Road in Stoughton, police said in a statement.
Arriving officers found four people with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening, and ambulances from Oregon, McFarland and Deer-Grove were called to assist with them, police said.
One driver was cited for failure to yield the right-of-way from a stop sign, police said.
No names were released and the crash remains under investigation, police said.

Madison police have released surveillance photos of two men involved in a fight — one armed with a handgun — on Oct. 22 at West Towne Mall in which a bystander was used as a human shield.
No shots were fired or injuries reported.
The images show one of the men grabbing a bystander in the vestibule of the mall and then spinning the bystander around to put him between another man who was pursuing him with a gun.

Man fatally shot by Madison police after allegedly shooting at officers
A man who was fatally shot by Madison police Sunday night after police say he fired a weapon at officers has been identified as Dean G. Thomas, 64, of Madison.
The Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office said Tuesday that Thomas died from “firearm-related trauma” following a police response to the 6500 block of Raymond Road for a report of a man firing a gun.
Madison police spokesman Joel DeSpain said the man was armed with a handgun and fired at least once at officers. He said at least one of the police officers in the area fired back, hitting Thomas.

Madison firefighter who was on unpaid leave arrested in drug raid, authorities say
A Madison firefighter who has been on unpaid leave since February was arrested in a drug raid Thursday, authorities reported.
Andrey L. Hansbro was one of two men arrested without incident during the execution of a search warrant shortly before 11 a.m. Thursday by the Dane County Narcotics Task Force and Madison police at a residence in the 3700 block of Packers Avenue, Madison police spokesman Joel DeSpain said.
Police recovered cocaine base, marijuana, cash, cell phones, drug packaging, drug paraphernalia and cell phones, DeSpain said.

Madison man driving ‘like a bat out of hell’ crashes stolen car on West Beltline, police say
A Madison man who was driving ‘like a bat out of hell’ in a stolen car lost control and crashed on the West Beltline on Saturday night, Madison police reported.
Witnesses told police that the suspect was weaving in and out of traffic on the Beltline going about 80 miles per hour when he lost control near Todd Drive, hit and a guardrail and went across the westbound lanes on two wheels, police public information officer Joel DeSpain said.
Several bottles of beer were found inside the crashed car and driver Tomas N. Barajas, 38, of Madison, who smelled of alcohol, was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, DeSpain said.

5-year-old student finds unloaded handgun on Leopold Elementary School grounds, police say
A 5-year-old student found an unloaded handgun on the Leopold Elementary School grounds Tuesday, Madison police said.
The student found the gun in the grass at the school at 2602 Post Road about 5:45 p.m., according to Madison police spokesman Joel DeSpain.
A school employee who was in the area for a meeting immediately took control of the gun. An investigation into who tossed or left it on school property is underway, DeSpain said.

At least five people were injured in a crash Thursday morning on Highway 51 in the town of Dunn caused by a teen driving a stolen vehicle while intoxicated, the Dane County Sheriff’s Office reported.
The four-vehicle crash happened during Thursday’s snowstorm about 9:10 a.m. when the driver of a southbound 2011 Ford Edge that had been reported stolen from Stoughton lost control and crossed into the northbound lane of Highway 51, hitting a Chevrolet Astro minivan head-on, and then spinning into a Volkswagen Jetta and a Chrysler Sebring that also were northbound, public information officer Elise Schaffer said in a statement.

Wounded man shows up at hospital after shooting outside Far East Side bar, Madison police say
About 15 minutes after shots were reported fired outside a Far East Side bar early Saturday morning, a man showed up at a local hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound, Madison police reported.
Police were called to Club LaMark, 1525 N. Stoughton Road, about 12:45 a.m. Saturday on the report of shots fired, Sgt. Paul Jacobsen said in a statement.
Arriving officers determined a disturbance occurred inside the bar and then continued outside near the parking lot, with a man shooting at another man outside, Jacobsen said.

Man with revoked license arrested after Southeast Side crash that kills pedestrian, Madison police say
A man with a revoked driver’s license was arrested after a crash Monday night on the Southeast Side that killed a pedestrian, Madison police reported.
Shuan T. Jones, 37, was arrested on tentative charges of knowingly operating while revoked causing death, ignition interlock device tampering-failure to install, and resisting/obstructing an officer. Jones’ driver’s license was revoked due to an OWI conviction, according to his Dane County Jail booking page.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which happened shortly after 7 p.m. Monday on Highway 12 near Millpond Road, Sgt. Nathan Becker said.

Deer started crash that injured 2, blocked I-39/90/94 at Highway 51 for hours, police say
Two people were injured in a crash early Thursday that blocked Interstate 39/90/94 at Highway 51 for hours, the State Patrol said.
The crash happened about 4:15 a.m. when a 2019 Nissan Pathfinder SUV that was traveling south in the center lane struck a deer, lost power and became disabled in the center lane with no lights, Sgt. Gary Helgerson said in a statement.
Soon after, a 2020 Freightliner double-bottom semi came upon the disabled Pathfinder and was unable to avoid a collision that sent the Pathfinder perpendicular against the median wall. The Freightliner tractor came to rest on the median wall, with the trailer on its side across all three lanes and debris strewn over the lanes for about 300 feet between the two vehicles, Helgerson said.
