A teenager was filmed taking a bath in the kitchen sink of a fast food restaurant he worked at.

However, what was probably intended to be a stunt for some Facebook likes from his friends took off after the video, filmed by a colleague, went viral.

The teenager, who has not been named, has since been sacked from the Florida branch of the popular US fast food chain.

The clip was shared online with the caption: ‘I don’t suggest anyone eating at the Milton Wendy’s again.’

In the Snapchat video, the teenager can be seen getting in the restaurant’s oversized sink after it was filled to the brim with water and soap.

His colleagues can be heard saying: ‘Take a bath, get in there. How does it feel?’

The boy, who is wearing nothing but shorts, replies: ‘It’s warm.’

The teen was sacked from the Milton Wendy’s branch after the ‘prank’

Many took to social media to say how disgusting it was, while others said they were overreacting to a teenager’s immature behaviour.

One wrote: ‘This makes you wonder what else is going on at that restaurant, someone needs to get fired, the sink needs to be sanitised.’

Another said: ‘The entire staff should be laid off, the restaurant closed and quarantine.’

A third said: ‘To all the grouches: It was inappropriate, unprofessional, unsanitary… but also funny.

‘Was the sink with chemicals, and all will be fine.’

A day after the incident, inspectors from the Department of Business and Professional regulation visited the Milton Wendy’s and the restaurant did pass a routine sanitation inspection.

Mike Johnson, a representative from Carlisle, who owns that franchise of Wendy’s said in a statement to News Journal: ‘We are taking this incident seriously and it is obviously unacceptable.

‘This was a prank by a person who no longer works at this restaurant, and who clearly did not use good judgement. We are taking this opportunity to reinforce our very strict quality procedures with our restaurant team.’

Since the video was shared, the branch’s Facebook page has received dozens of poor reviews.
