Could Victoria Beckham reunite for a Spice Girls performance at Glastonbury? Mel B’s mother seems to think so

Victoria Beckham may have missed out on the Spice Girls’ hugely successful comeback tour, but it’s always a possibility that she could make a return to the group – if Glastonbury is on the cards.

Scary Spice Mel B claims that Victoria told her mother, Andrea Brown, that she is keen for the group to perform at Glastonbury in 2020, to mark the festival’s 50^th anniversary.

Mel B revealed the news on tonight’s episode (26 July) of the The Lateish Show with Mo Gilligan.

‘Funnily enough, my mum was at her mum’s summer party and Victoria was there, and she did actually mention to my mum that she’d love to do Glastonbury for their 50th next year,’ she said.

‘It’s not just me saying it, she actually did say that to my mum.’

Whilst Mo jokingly added: ‘Victoria’s ready to come for the big show, innit!’

‘I hope so,’ Mel replied.

The 44-year-old also hinted at the idea of a Glastonbury performance for the girl group earlier this month, saying that it would be a ‘really good thing to do.’

Speaking on Zoe Ball’s Radio 2 breakfast show, she said: ‘It just happens to be Glastonbury’s 50th anniversary next year. I think that would be a really good thing to do.

‘The girls are going to kill me for saying it but I don’t care, I think we owe it to our fans and ourselves. I would love that.’

This follows on from the success of the Spice Girls’ comeback tour, Spiceworld 2019.

The 90’s girl group, best known for hits such as Wannabe and Spice Up Your Life, played thirteen sell-out shows across the UK and Ireland.

Victoria, also known as Posh Spice, did not take part due to other commitments – but perhaps the idea of a performance at the renowned Glastonbury tempts her more.
