POUGHKEEPSIE – NYPD Detectives arrested a teen wanted for attempted murder in a shooting in New York on August 12.
Devon Branton, 16, was taken into custody in Poughkeepsie early Tuesday morning. He was wanted in the shooting of a 15-year-old on Second Avenue in Manhattan.
Branton was taken into custody at a residence on Conklin Street with the assistance of officers from the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department.
The arrest occurred without incident and the suspect was returned to New York City to face the charges.
