A 34-year-old woman died in a one-vehicle crash 13 miles North of Sioux Falls early Thursday morning.
At 6:50 a.m., a 2018 Kenworth T370 semi-truck was driving northbound on Interstate 29 when the vehicle drifted off the roadway, traveling over a guardrail and striking a bridge pillar near mile marker 96.5.
Authorities said the female driver was wearing a seatbelt during the crash, where she was pronounced dead at the scene. The woman's name is not being released pending notification of family members.
South Dakota's Highway Patrol is conducting an ongoing investigation into the crash.
