Armstrong Teasdale promotes 14 partners in Missouri offices

Armstrong Teasdale has promoted 14 Missouri attorneys to partner, effective Jan. 1, in one of the firm’s largest groups of partner promotions in recent years.

They are among a total of 18 attorneys promoted in the firm’s offices in St. Louis, Kansas City, Philadelphia and Denver. New equity partners in St. Louis include Maureen Bryan, Daniel Burke, Steven Foristal, James M. Heinen Jr., Travis Kearbey, Christopher LaRose and Eric Walter.

Associates named income partners include Laura Bentele, Jeremy Brenner, Patrick Coyle, Thor Mathison and Tod Stephens in the St. Louis office, and Megan Ochs and Rachel Orr in the Kansas City office.

Bryan is leader of the firm’s health care and life sciences industry team and a member of the mass tort and catastrophic loss practice area.

Burke, a member of the financial and real estate services practice group in St. Louis, counsels clients on real estate law and chairs the firm’s hiring committee.

Foristal, a member of the firm’s corporate services practice group, primarily focuses on mergers and acquisitions, commercial transactions, capital-raising and antitrust matters.

Heinen, who leads the firm’s higher education industry team and patent agent/engineer subgroup, focuses on the preparation and prosecution of U.S. and foreign patent applications for those in the chemical and biochemical industries.

Kearbey, who is deputy leader of the firm’s employment and labor practice area, focuses his practice on litigation, business transactions, counseling and labor law.

LaRose is a trial lawyer focusing on complex business disputes and banking litigation in both state and federal court.

Walter is leader of the firm’s marijuana and hemp law practice area and has state and federal litigation experience in a range of complex commercial and business cases.

Bentele is a member of the litigation practice group in St. Louis and  is co-founder and leader of the firm’s agribusiness and food industry team.

Brenner is co-leader of the firm’s national wage and hour/Fair Labor Standards Act practice and a member of the firm’s inclusion committee.

Coyle, a registered patent attorney, focuses his practice on patent-related matters, including licensing and enforcement, infringement and validity, product clearance, and preparation and prosecution of U.S. and foreign patent applications.

Mathison’s practice focuses on corporate legal and regulatory issues, including complex technology and commercial contracts, digital payment systems and other areas. He also is a Certified Information Privacy Professional.

Stephens, who also has earned an MBA, resolves regulatory, litigation and government contracting challenges with a primary focus on the national security, defense and intelligence industries.

Ochs is a member of the firm’s litigation practice group in Kansas City and leads the Women’s Inclusion Network program and initiatives in that office.

Orr is a real estate development and tax attorney who counsels banks, borrowers and municipal entities on taxable and tax-exempt capital project financing. She is a member of the firm’s inclusion committee.
