CHINOOK — The University of Providence men’s basketball team got a huge commitment on Monday as Chinook senior Isaac Bell has announced he will play basketball for the Argos next season.

Bell was a crucial element of Chinook’s undefeated regular season last year, a Northern C divisional championship and the Sugarbeeters’ first trip to state since moving to Class C from Class B. Bell averaged 11.8 points and 4.2 rebounds per game as a senior.

Bell announced his commitment on social media, writing, “Been pretty busy lately!! But first off I would like to thank all the coaches and people who have given me advice to put me where I am today…I love you guys! Shout out to my family, friends, hecklers and opponents for being with me through my journey that isn’t over yet…so with that being said, I will further my education and basketball career with the University of Providence! #GoArgos #RiseUP.”

Providence coach Steve Keller now has another weapon to add to his growing arsenal with the Argos.
