NBSE HSLC Results 2020: List of successful candidates holding the first twenty position
KOHIMA, May 30 (MExN): The Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) on May 30 declared the results for High School Leaving Certificate Examinations (HSLC) and Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate Examinations (HSSLC) for 2020. A total of 22393 appeared the HSLC Examinations in February this year while 15461 enrolled for the HSSLC examination which was held in February.
In HLSC Exam, out of 22392 candidates, a total of 15680 candidates qualified the examination with a qualified percentage of 70.03%. Last year’s overall pass percentage was at 68.29%.
The girls have again done better with 8470 girls qualifying and 7210 boys qualifying the examination, stated a press release from NBSE which conducted the exam from February 14-26.
In the Top 20 list, there are 55 candidates out of which 16 are boys and the rest i.e. 39 are girls.
In addtion, 96 schools secured 100% qualified/pass percentage out of which 83 are private schools and 13 are government schools.
At total of 34 schools have zero/nil result out of which 30 are government schools and 4 private schools, NBSE added.
HSSLC Examination
Meawwhile, the pass percentage HSSLC in Arts stream is 71.87%, Commerce stream is 75.47% and Science stream is 80.99%. The results indicate a slight decline in the Arts and Science streams which recorded 74.44% and 81.37% last year. The commerce stream however showed an improvement as compared to 2019’s overall pass percentage of 74.68%.
Chumliba R of Loyola Hr.Sec.School,Kiphire with an overall score of 92.00% topped the Arts Stream.
In the Commerce stream, Ichha Upadhyay of Christian Hr.Sec.School,Dimapur came on top with an overall percentage of 98.80%.
Anushka Bhattacharjee of Pranab Vidyapith Hr.Sec.School,Dimapur took the honour for the Science stream with an overall score of 95.20%.
8 institutions under Arts stream, 6 institutions under Science stream and 5 institutions under Commerce stream secured 100% pass result in the HSSLC examination, NBSE added.
