CEDOK commends performance of Catholic schools in Nagaland

Dimapur, June 5 (MExN): Catholic schools in Nagaland have fared well in the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) and Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC) examinations conducted by the Nagaland Board of School Education with 33 toppers overall.


According to a press release from the Commission for Education Diocese of Kohima (CEDOK), 21 toppers in the HSLC exam were from Catholic schools while there were 12 toppers in the HSSLC (Arts, Commerce and Science) Exams. There were also HSLC 21 subject toppers and 5 HSSLC subject toppers. Moreover, more than 23 % of HSLC and 21 % of HSSLC students of the state come from Catholic Schools.


CEDOK meanwhile conveyed its appreciation to all the institutions for the results stating that the results “show the level of commitment of the management and staff along with the determined efforts of our students.” 


Further, it was informed that the rank holders and subject toppers (excluding subject toppers of second languages and additional subjects) from Catholic schools will be awarded with a certificate of appreciation and cash award. Due to the lock down restrictions, a common function will not be initiated; however, certificates and cash awards will be handed over to the students from their respective schools, the release stated.
