Dimapur ‘combats’ plastic with paper bag

CAN Youth collaborates with EAC Chümoukedima for District Administration Dimapur’s sponsored paper bag making training 

Dimapur, May 29 (MExN): Trainings are being organised all its sub-divisions by Dimapur District Administration in order to promote the paper bags and combat the single plastic use. 

As a part of the ongoing effort, a paper bag making training with women of Sovima Village, Purana Bazar, Darogajan, Padam Pukhuri, Chekiye Village and Darogajan village under Chümoukedima EAC Circle was held on May 28. 

The training at Chümoukedima Town Council Hall was organized by CAN Youth in collaboration with EAC Chümoukedima and sponsored by District Administration Dimapur.

Previous trainings for Medziphema, Niuland and Dhansiripar were also conducted, a press release from 
Kivitoli K Sema, Secretary CAN Youth stated.

The next training and community sensitization on harmful effects of plastic will be held at Kuhuboto on May 30.
