DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 13 (MExN): Nagaland beat Mizoram in the Vinoo Mankad U-19 Trophy by 18 runs today.
Nagaland won the toss and elected to bat first managing to put up 156 runs in 42.5 overs. Shamphri with 38 runs and Parbez with 36 runs were the top scorers for the Nagaland team.
In the second innings, Mizoram could only muster 138 as Nagaland bowled them out in 37.4 overs. Nunfela with 72 runs and Divyansh with 20 runs were Mizoram’s highest scores.
Meanwhile, Vipul for Nagaland was the highest wicket taker with 4 wickets, followed by two each for Hopongkyu and Odilemba.
