Dolly Gallo, the widow of Hudson County political leader Hank Gallo, died on June 21.  She was 87. Hank Gallo, who passed away in 1997, served as a Hudson County Freeholder and as Hudson County Democratic Chairman.  Her son-in-law is Superior Court Judge Lawrence DeBello.

William Albrecht, a former New Jersey Superior Court Judge, died on June 15.  He was 92. Albrecht served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and as an FBI agent before practicing law.  He served as a municipal attorney for several Warren County municipalities.

Alex Salerno, a former Raritan Councilman and Democratic Municipal Chairman, died on June 20.  He was 89.

Myron (Mike) Kronisch, who spent decades as a peace activist, died on June 21.  He was 92.  A Korean War veteran and former law clerk to New Jersey Supreme Court Justice Nathan Jacobs, Kronisch was active  in the World Federalist Association, Citizens for Global Solutions and the Center for War/Peace Studies.  He sough to enhance the effectiveness of the United Natuions by replacing the veto power with a more representative voting system in the General Assembly and the Security Council.

Gay McCreery Eadline, who worked as a reporter for CBS News in Washington before moving to Vineland to raise her family, died on June 19.  She was 86.

Louis Gorra, a retired teacher and Monmouth County Prosecutor’s office employee, passed away on June 19.  He was 73.

Christopher O’Halloran, a former Sussex County Municipal Utilities Authority Commissioner, died on June 20.  He was 67. O’Halloran served in the U.S. Navy and spent 32 years at the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.

Donald Smith, who served on the Howell Township Environmental Commission for 21 years, died on June 20.  He was 78.

Domenick D’Allesandro, a longtime Democratic activist in Hudson County, died on June 21.  He was 80. D’Allesando worked for the Jersey City Water Department under Mayor Anthony Cucci, and was the standard bearer of the D’Allesando Civic Association.
