HHS Appeals End of Medicare Off-Campus Clinic Pay Rule (1)

The U.S. Health and Human Services Department is appealing a decision tossing a rule that would have lowered how much Medicare money hospitals get paid for providing certain patient services at off-campus, provider-based clinics.

Secretary Alex M. Azar II notified the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia Dec. 12 that the agency is asking the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit to review a September decision that vacated its “site-neutral policy.”
