The District of Columbia Mayor Dec. 23 signed a law creating an alcoholic beverage pub crawl license and establishing its fee for excise tax purposes. The law includes measures providing that: 1) a pub crawl license shall authorize the licensee to host events featuring groups of licensed establishments within walking distance to one another featuring the sale or service of alcoholic beverages during a specified timeframe; 2) the license shall be valid for 3 years unless the license is suspended or revoked; and 3) the minimum annual fee for a pub crawl license shall be $500.
