Chandigarh: Punjab CM Capt Amarinder Singh rejected the paddy MSP hike, terming it totally inadequate and paltry. He said the Centre had failed to address the extreme distress faced by the farmers amid the Covid crisis. The debt-ridden and stressed farming community was looking up to the Centre to come to their rescue in these unprecedented distress, but the much-needed support once again eluded them, he said, describing the paltry MSP hike as shameful. — TNS
