Manchester United and Manchester City are both reportedly interested in signing the same centre-backs this summer.

The Independent claims that the Premier League giants will look to strengthen in defence during the off-season and will look to Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly and Milan Škriniar of Inter.

Both players have been heavily linked with moves away from their respective clubs for a while and it seems as if this summer is when that finally happens.

City have made a centre-back signing their absolute priority this time around, having failed to replace Vincent Kompany in June 2019.

United meanwhile had made Jadon Sancho their number one target this time, but with the emergence of Mason Greenwood, believe that their budget could be better spent elsewhere.

It’s thought that both Koulibaly and Škriniar will see their values drop after the coronavirus pandemic, with the duo likely to leave if their respective clubs receive offers of around €75m.
