Nine more people have died in the region's hospitals with Covid-19

Nine more people have died in the region's hospital with Covid-19.

The total number of people who have died in Greater Manchester's hospitals after testing positive for Covid-19 now stands at 1,925.

Figures released by NHS England on Saturday show that three of the deaths were at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, where the total number of lives lost to the virus now stands at 400.

Two people died at Bolton NHS Foundation Trust, as well as at Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust.

While Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust and Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust both reported one more death.

Of 11 trusts in Greater Manchester, six did not record any new deaths in the past 24 hours.

And Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust, The Christie NHS Foundation Trust, Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust and the Nightingale Hospital have recorded no new deaths during June.
