The family of a man who died after he was stabbed multiple times has paid tribute to him.
Mark Fisher, 33, died at his home on Edleston Street, Accrington, on Sunday (January 19).
Police and paramedics rushed to the address in the Lancashire town at about 1pm.
Despite their best efforts, Mr Fisher was pronounced dead at the scene, LancsLive reports.
Two people, a 37-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman from Accrington, have been arrested on suspicion of murder.
They remain in police custody for questioning.
Mr Fisher's family said they were 'heartbroken' by his death in a statement released through police on Monday.
They said: "As a family we are heartbroken.

"Mark was much loved by all of his family and we miss him so much.
"We desperately need to know what happened to Mark and would appeal to anybody that knows anything to contact the police.”
A post-mortem exam is due to take place in 'due course' to establish Mr Fisher's cause of death.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
Det Chief Insp Jill Johnston, of the Force Major Investigation Team, is leading the inquiry.
She said: “The incident on Sunday has resulted in a man losing his life and my thoughts are with his family and friends at this time.
“I have a team of detectives and staff working on this investigation and we are following a number of lines of inquiry to piece together what has happened.

“While we have made two arrests our inquiries are still very much ongoing and I would appeal for anyone who has any information which could assist us to come forward. Even if you think the information you have is insignificant please come forward and let us be the judge.”
Police said they are aware that a number of comments have been made on social media suggesting Mr Fisher was a 'registered sex offender'.
Officers from Lancashire Police said the rumours are untrue and it has caused 'understandable upset' to the family.
They ask that people refrain from repeating them.
