Williamson County’s known coronavirus cases increase by 25 since Friday

Williamson County’s new confirmed coronavirus cases have increased by 25 since Friday, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 621 on Monday.

Twenty-four people have died from known coronavirus cases in Williamson County and 391 people have recovered. Nine people with confirmed cases were in the hospital on Monday.

Round Rock had the most number of confirmed cases and the most deaths. The city had a total of 294 cases including 20 deaths and 158 recoveries. Georgetown had the second highest number of cases and deaths in the county. It had 88 cases including two deaths and 53 recoveries.

As of Monday, 10,424 tests for coronavirus had been done in the county, according to the Williamson County and Cities Health District.

Additional deaths and cases from COVID-19, the disease linked to the coronavirus, will be reported on the online dashboard at www.wcchd.org/COVID-19/dashboard.php. The dashboard is updated daily just past noon.

Anyone with symptoms of respiratory illness, including cough, fever and shortness of breath, should contact their health care provider. It is important to call ahead before arriving at a clinic, urgent care or emergency department to avoid potential spread.
