PM Modi asks children to work hard, reveals reason behind his 'radiant' face

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said the reason behind his "radiant" face is the sweat due to hard work. During an interaction here with children awarded the Rashtriya Bal Puraskar 2020, PM Modi recalled that someone had asked him many years ago about the reason behind his "radiant" face. "I had given a very simple answer. I said, I work hard and my body sweats a lot. I rub that sweat (on myself) and it gives me a glow," he said.

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said the reason behind his "radiant" face is the sweat due to hard work.
During an interaction here with children awarded the Rashtriya Bal Puraskar 2020, PM Modi recalled that someone had asked him many years ago about the reason behind his "radiant" face.
"I had given a very simple answer. I said, I work hard and my body sweats a lot.
I rub that sweat (on myself) and it gives me a glow," he said
The Prime Minister asked the children to tell others as well that there should not be any child who does not sweat it hard four times a day.
PM Modi asked the awardees to keep working hard and advised them to enjoy drinking water as if it were juice and not see it as taking medicine.
The award is given to children in the age group of five to 18 years for their contribution in areas like social service, scholastic, sports, and art and culture, and also for innovations and bravery.
It carries a medal, a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh, a certificate and a citation.
PM Modi lauded the work done by the awardees and said he gets inspiration from them.

The Prime Minister said he is proud to see that they are aware about their duty towards society and the nation.
"When I was getting introduced to you (awardees) a while back, I was really surprised. The way you all have tried in different fields, the work that has been done at such a young age... is amazing," PM Modi said.
"Whenever I hear about such courageous work of all you young comrades, talk to you, I also get inspiration and energy," he said.
The Prime Minister said post Independence, 33,000 police personnel have sacrificed their lives for the safety of the people and "we should give them due respect".
PM Modi said at times people do not like policemen as they ask them to park their cycles or vehicles properly.
He encouraged the children to visit the National Police Memorial here.
Twelve-year-old Darsh Malani, who has performed over 50 magic shows across the world, was among the 49 awardees. Manoj Kumar Lohar (11) was given the award for mastering the "tabla vadan".
The Prime Minister later shared the awardees' individual achievements on his personal Twitter handle.
