Looking for a way to celebrate your 2020 graduate?

Barack and Michelle Obama will lead an all-star lineup of speakers at the “Dear Class of 2020” national graduation this weekend.

Celebrities and public figures from music, government, TV, film, dance and YouTube will join them in recognizing students graduating this year.

What is ‘Dear Class of 2020’?

YouTube Originals is hosting “Dear Class of 2020,” a virtual graduation ceremony livestreaming on Sunday, June 7. (The event was rescheduled from Saturday because of a George Floyd memorial in North Carolina.)

The event, which also stars Beyoncé, celebrates the accomplishments of students everywhere who don’t get to have in-person graduation ceremonies because of the coronavirus pandemic.

After California high school senior Lincoln Debenham drew attention for tweeting a request to former president Obama to deliver a national commencement address, Obama appeared at “Graduate Together,” a virtual graduation ceremony for high school students that was broadcast on TV and streamed online in May. He also spoke at “Show Me Your Walk: HBCU Edition," a virtual commencement celebrating graduates of historically black colleges and universities.

Beyoncé leads the music headliners for the virtual graduation, which include BTS, Lady Gaga, Maluma, Megan Thee Stallion and Doja Cat.

The Obamas said they received dozens of requests to speak at commencement events.

Michelle Obama and the Reach Higher initiative that she started at the White House partnered with YouTube for the event.
