TOI Impact: Ronit Roy offered help, the actor says extend that help to people closest to you

In an exclusive interview with Etimes TV, Ronit Roy recently revealed how he has been supporting around 100 families despite having no earnings since January. Ronit runs a security business which is shut currently due to the lockdown since March and he is taking care of his employees.

As soon as the news broke out here, many approached the actor offering him help. The actor in his recent tweet revealed so and thanked all for their help.

However, he asked them to extend help people who are in need. His tweet read: "Immense gratitude for all those voices who are offering to help me to help others. Thanks so much but I’m good. Extend that help to people closest to you and the people closest to them. If we do this the entire community will be taken care of. I love y’all."

Ronit spoke about his financial struggles when he was asked about the 90-day payment rule that has been going on in the industry for long. Speaking to ETimes TV, he shared, “During this time everyone's work is stopped and they have to somehow arrange money to meet their daily expenses. Don't give them extra money, but at least pay them what they are owed. Because everyone right now is under extreme emotional, mental and physical stress because of the lockdown, so jinka paisa banta hai unko toh milna chahiye. Personally, I haven't made money since January. I have a small business which was running, and is now shut since March. Whatever I have, I am selling things to support about 100 families that I am responsible for. I am not a very rich man, but I am doing it.”
