Spain is a modern nation, rich in history, art, culture and cuisine. A diverse landscape provides students with the chance to enjoy both mountains and beaches. It's no surprise Spain is one of the top study abroad destinations in the world.

Program options are available for students from all majors. Students can take courses in both Spanish and English.

Additional funding is available for study abroad. Most semester scholarships and financial aid may be used toward study abroad.

Dine in style

You can enjoy a meal at the world's oldest restaurant in Spain's capital, Madrid. Restaurante Botín has been open since 1725.

Ocean views

You can relax, explore and play on Spain's more than 5,000 miles of coastline.

A history of literature

Don Quixote is widely considered the world's first novel. Spaniard Miguel de Cervantes wrote the work in 1605. You can visit Cervantes birth house and museum in Alcalá de Henares, just outside of Madrid.

Oil galore

Spain produces more than half of the world's olive oil.

Calling all foodies

Tomatoes, potatoes, avocadoes, and cacao were all imported into Europe by Spain.

Students interested in learning more about study abroad should:

• Attend drop-in advising at the Office of Study Abroad, from 3-5 p.m. Monday-Friday.
• Meet with their Academic Advisor to discuss how study abroad fits into their academic plan
