The creators of restaurants including Madison Social and Happy Motoring are setting their sights on a new project.

The restaurant group, For the Table Hospitality, is planning a rooftop bar at the AC Hotel in Cascades Park. The hotel construction is currently underway. It's expected to be a 154 room, seven story hotel. Matt Thompson is a managing partner of For the Table Hospitality.

“We are looking forward to adding the management of the rooftop venue to our portfolio,” Thompson said in a press release. “Being able to collaborate with Robert Finvarb Companies (developer of the hotel) and his team on how to best compliment their hotel guest experience, but also offer something new to Tallahassee that appeals to locals is a perfect partnership for us.”

The hotel is part of a larger project that includes residential, retail and office space right at the edge of Cascades park. Thompson estimates the rooftop bar could be ready to open near the end of next year.
