The Jacksonville Children's Chorus commissioned its first piece of public art, titled Sing. It's the word "Sing" in bright red floating over a bright blue base.

The art is based on a design by JCC graphic designer Carolyn Audije and was brought to life by sculpture artist and University of North Florida Associate Professor Jenny Hager-Vickery.

?"Mrs. Audije's design represents the mission of the Jacksonville Children’s Chorus at its very core and my vision for our first public art installation," said JCC President and Artistic Director Darren Dailey in an email to WJCT News.

It was unveiled Friday at 225 E. Duval St. as part of the JCC’s 25th anniversary block party celebration.

The ceremony featured a performance by the Jacksonville Children's Chorus Touring Choir, which recently returned from a six-country tour in Europe.
