There's something about a White Christmas that brings out the little kid, in most of us at least. That was the case for many families on Christmas, who made the quick trip to Mount Charleston on Christmas Day.

But the trip wasn't as quick as many had hoped because of heavy traffic due to a few accidents and road closures.

"Google said there were accidents but we didn’t see them. There was way worse traffic this year than in previous years," Paul Campbell said.

However, the extra time in the car was well worth it to him, because it meant spending more time with his family.

“Yes it’s very good," he said. "Even just the road trip driving up is something.”

Whether sledding, bringing a snowman to life, snapping a selfie, or even pelting Dad with a snowball (which happened to Campbell during his interview with News 3), many families enjoyed spending time in the snow on Christmas.

It's a tradition running three years strong for the Campbell family, and 2018 may have marked the start of a new one, for Lisa Creed and her family.

"We may start one," she said. "Yeah. I would love that actually, that would be good.”
