LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Motorists heading back to California on Sunday after the long Independence Day weekend should prepare for a bit of a headache.
Drivers are dealing with the typical southbound traffic on I-15 near state line, with the major part of the backup extending from Primm to Jean.
Around 1:30 p.m., RTC Southern Nevada said the delays stretched about 14 miles.
Those looking to skip the traffic while maybe saving a few minutes could try taking the U.S. 95 south to Searchlight, then connect to Route 164, which will take you to I-15 just north of Mountain Pass.
However, this route doesn’t give motorists the opportunity to stop by Seven Magic Mountains, which is located between Sloan and Jean.
