LAS VEGAS (KSNV News3LV) — In anticipation of heavy traffic on southbound Interstate 15 near Primm and the Nevada-California border, the Nevada Department of Transportation is advising commuters who wish to avoid the expected delays to use an alternate route.
Nevada Highway Patrol Trooper Jason Buratczuk says travelers can take northbound State Route 160 (Blue Diamond Road) to Pahrump, then get onto southbound SR 372 and take the road into Baker, Calif., to connect with southbound I-15 again.
NHP troopers were busy this afternoon in the northwest Las Vegas Valley with commuters making their way up Mount Charleston, forcing a temporary shutdown.
