LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Three people were injured, one critically, in a set of two crashes Monday morning on Interstate 15 near Primm, according to Nevada Highway Patrol.
Troopers got a report of a crash involving a Honda Pilot and a Lexus near mile marker 7 just before 4:15 a.m., Trooper Travis Smaka said.
A third vehicle, described as an SUV, crashed into the two cars a short time later.
The driver of the SUV was trapped and had to be extricated and taken to UMC Trauma via helicopter, according to Smaka. Northbound I-15 was briefly closed to allow for the helicopter to land.
Two other people were taken to St. Rose Siena in stable condition, Smaka said.
The investigation into the circumstances of the crash is still ongoing.
