LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — The annual Official Star Trek Convention usually takes place in August, but COVID-19 has a way of changing everyone's plans. Creation Entertainment, the company that runs the annual convention, announced that the annual gathering of trekkies will take place later in the year than usual -- and in a new location.
From December 9 through December 13, the Official Star Trek Convention will be held in the brand new Caesars Forum Conference Center, with direct access to the convention's host hotel: Harrah's Las Vegas.

Original series stars William Shatner and Walter Koenig are already confirmed to attend the conference. Kelsey Grammer, who appeared in an episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation but is best known for his roles in Cheers and Frasier, will also be attending.
According to Creation Entertainment, attendees who made plans for the original dates will have to cancel their flights and hotel reservations, though all other tickets to the convention will be automatically transferred to the new dates.
