Sunny, 40s Monday in Oklahoma City, freezing weather and snow possible by Saturday

Monday will be sunny with temperatures in the 40s in central Oklahoma, and there is a chance for freezing, snowy weather Friday and Saturday, the National Weather Service reported.

Snowfall is possible in western Oklahoma Monday morning before 9 a.m., the  weather  service reported.

The high temperature in Oklahoma  City will be near 41 degrees.

Late Thursday and early Friday, temperatures will drop to 28 degrees, and there is a chance for freezing rain. Snow is possible in Oklahoma City Saturday, the weather service reported.

The Oklahoma City forecast follows:

Monday: Partly sunny with a high near 41. North wind 8 to 10 mph.

Monday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 23. North wind 5 to 9 mph.

Tuesday Sunny with a high near 43. North wind 3 to 5 mph.

Tuesday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 28.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny with a high near 50.

Wednesday night: Mostly cloudy with a low around 37.

Thursday: A 30 percent chance of rain after 7 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 48.

Thursday night: A chance of rain before 7 p.m, then a slight chance of freezing rain. Cloudy, with a low around 28. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.

Friday: Rain or freezing rain likely. Cloudy with a high near 34. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent.

Friday night: Rain, freezing rain, and sleet likely. Cloudy with a low around 28. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent.

Saturday

Snow, freezing rain, and sleet likely. Cloudy, with a high near 35. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
