Oklahoma Combined Weekly Auction Summary. Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report and Cow and Bull Report for the week of December 12 through Thursday.

Receipts: 20,979; Last Week: 40,418; Last Year: 28,831

Compared to last week: Combined weighted average report for Oklahoma auctions. 7 Auctions reported this week: Ada, Apache, El Reno, McAlester, Oklahoma City, Tulsa, and Woodward. Feeder steers sold mostly $2-$8 higher. Feeder heifers $3-$6 higher. Steer calves sold $2-$8 higher and heifer calves steady to $5 higher. Demand good for all classes. Cattle movement was limited this week, due to winter weather in the southern part of the state. Unseasonably warm weather is expected for most of next week. Supply included 49 percent over 600 lbs; 44 percent heifers. Compared to last week: Slaughter cows steady to $1 higher. Slaughter bulls sold $1-$2 higher. Packer demand moderate. Supply included 36 percent going to packers; 64 percent replacement cows and pairs.

SLAUGHTER CATTLE

Live trades in Nebraska not tested, dressed basis trading $1 higher. Live trade in the Southern Plains mostly steady. Slaughter cattle on a national basis for negotiated cash trades through Friday afternoon totaled 33,656 head. Last week's total head count was 135,933.

CATTLE SLAUGHTER

Federally Inspected Cattle: 654,000 head up 4.1 percent from a year ago. Western Cornbelt Direct Lean Hog Base Price average price of packers bids on a carcass basis delivered to packing plants as of Friday was $46.24.

HOG FUTURES

Dressed Basis: (74 percent yield): Dec. $54.95; Feb. $64.50; April $70.05; May $75.78.

HOG SLAUGHTER

Federally Inspected Hogs: 2.612 million head up 1.4 percent from a year ago.

SHEEP SLAUGHTER

Federally Inspected Sheep: 43,000 head unchanged from a year ago.

BOXED BEEF

Estimated Composite Boxed Beef Cutout Values: Friday Box beef cut-out values: down $0.35 from last Friday. Choice 600-900 lbs. $210.96; Select 600-900 lbs. $203.14.

MEAT PRODUCTION

Beef: 542.1 million lbs. up 3.6 percent from a year ago.

Pork: 556.4 million lbs. up 1.1 percent from a year ago.

Lamb: 2.9 million lbs. down 3.3 percent from a year ago.
